Pastor of Congretational Care and Nurture
Born and raised in St. Mary’s, Ohio. I attended the Wayne Street UMC. As a young adult I become involved as a youth leader which continued for twenty years. I attended training in district and conference events for youth and small group leadership. I also attended Group’s National Children and Youth workshops and Youth Specialties conferences. The youth performed dramas, work camps, and many outreach ministry trips.
While at Wayne Street UMC, I served as Lay Leader of the church for seven years. During this time, I attended creative worship seminars and also Neurolinguistic programming which involved “listening labs.” While doing youth ministries, I began to lead a small group for parents of youth called the Seekers. I also helped lead a Worship Café on Wednesday evening that encompassed all age groups for a dinner and then creative worship.
In St. Mary’s, I also took many opportunities to be involved in the community, such as creating a Community Youth Center and organizing C.A.R.D. (Communities Advocating Responsible Decisions), as well as, coaching football, serving on the Board of Education and the Credit Union Board of Directors.
Currently, at Lewisburg UMC, I lead the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class, and Agape Wednesday Bible study. For the past two years, I have also lead bimonthly devotions at BrookHaven Retirement Community; and just this past month, I began a grief recovery group there.
