Rev. Valerie Browne

Picture of Rev. Valerie Browne Val’s professional career has been a journey through various settings. Although music has always been apart of her life (B. Music from WSU in 1973), she spent a number of years in public service, part of which was at the Montgomery County Jail. She has done graduate work in counseling at WSU and has a Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary (1996) and was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1998. She served for many years as the Director of Music at Englewood United Methodist Church. Her pastoral record includes serving as Associate Pastor at Community UMC in Brookville and Sulphur Grove UMC in Huber Heights and as Pastor at Ware’s Chapel UMC in Preble County. Val is currently on a Leave of Absence from the pastorate. She is working at Friendship Village in Trotwood and is the Minister of Music for our 11AM worship where she provides leadership and plays the guitar for our band, Soul Analysis. Val’s has two daughters: Martha and her husband, Pat, and Jamie and her fiancé, Derrick.
